Helium balloon bursts at Wellington Airport, releasing unknown white powder

Thankfully the powder has been found to be non-toxic.

A helium balloon has burst at Wellington Airport this morning releasing an as yet unknown white powder.

Emergency services were called about 2.45am today and there are three fire trucks and a hazard material truck at the scene.

Wellington Airport crash and fire services are also at the scene.
