Greg Boyed

Greg Boyed presents the 1 NEWS Tonight bulletin.

He has also presented Q+A, 1 NEWS at 6, Close Up and Seven Sharp.

Greg started his journalistic life in 1991 at a private radio station in Tauranga. He was quickly promoted to chief reporter and newsreader. 

He then went on to IRN News and Sport in Wellington for a year as a reporter and sports reader, then to IRN in Auckland as sports sub and reader for three years.

He soon made the leap into television with ATV, part of the Horizon Pacific group of regional television, first as a general reporter then business reporter for The NBR Report.

From there it was to TVNZ as a reporter and some-time fill-in presenter of the Business programme.

Next, Greg moved to Target as the Auckland-based reporter.

After a stint back in radio, Greg has constantly added to a long list of TV credits, as Associate Producer of Flipside, Executive Producer of The Last Word, Producer of Tonight, reporter on Fair Go, presenter on Seven Sharp and finally back to the Tonight team.

Daniel Faitaua

Daniel Faitaua is the Breakfast newsreader.

He is now based in Auckland following a spell in Wellington but is a born and bred Cantabrian.

He joined 1 NEWS after working as a reporter on Close up for three years.

Daniel is a graduate from Canterbury University and in 2009 he graduated from the NZ Broadcasting School.

When Daniel was at Close Up he covered a wide range of National and International stories and is the back-up co-host for TVNZ7's political pub programme, Back Benches.

He then became a reporter for 1 NEWS in Wellington.
