David Millane, the father of murdered British tourist Grace Millane has visited the west Auckland location where her body was found on Sunday, one week after her disappearance.
Yesterday Mr Millane and senior officers investigating the case joined a traditional Māori ceremony to bless the site in the Waitakere Ranges.
A bouquet of white flowers was left in the dense bush area on Scenic Drive, where Grace's body was found after an extensive search.
Mr Millane arrived in New Zealand from the UK last Friday after Grace went missing on December 1, one day before her 22nd birthday.
A 26-year-old man charged with the murder of the 22-year-old appeared in the Auckland District Court on Monday where he was given interim name suppression.
