Follow All Black Sonny Bill Williams as he visits survivors of Christchurch terror attack, prays with his Muslim brothers and sisters

March 25, 2019

Sunday joined Sonny Bill Williams, who is Muslim, as he visited survivors and attended prayers following the attack.

He’s one of our most famous New Zealanders.

Sonny Bill Williams is also the first Muslim to become an All Black.

However, many Kiwis have struggled to understand his faith.

The Christchurch attack has changed the lives and outlook of many, including Williams.

Once happy to let his footy do the talking, now he wants to see change in New Zealand society, and is not afraid to make his voice heard.

Blues assistant Tom Coventry said it was an easy decision to rest Williams for this weekend's match against the Highlanders.

He speaks with Sunday’s Mark Crysell as he travels to Christchurch to pray, meets survivors of the Christchurch mosque horror, and hands over money raised in the wake of the attack.
