Floor-shaking haka by Rongotai College a tribute to star All Blacks Ma'a Nonu and Julian Savea

Ma’a Nonu and Julian Savea’s old school has celebrated the All Blacks’ Rugby World Cup win with a rousing and floor-shaking haka.

Six hundred students from Wellington’s Rongotai College piled into the school auditorium during lunch break to show their support for the former pupils.

"We are hugely proud. Both of them come from big Rongotai families," Principal Kevin Carter said.

"It’s great for members of our community to be so successful."

If there is an All Blacks parade in Wellington the school will allow students to attend with their parent’s permission.

Savea today won the try of the year award for his sensational effort against France in the Rugby World Cup quarter-final.

Nonu attended Rongotai College in the 1990s.
