Fire rips through Auckland car inspection company, gutting vehicles

The fire began at the Mount Wellington business at about 4.00pm today.

A line of cars were gutted today in a blaze that ripped through a vehicle inspection company in Auckland's Mt Wellington.

The fire started at about 4.00pm at the Carbine Road address, according to Fire and Emergency New Zealand.

Two fire trucks and one helicopter attended the blaze, which has now been extinguished. 

Fire investigators remain at the scene.
