Fire overnight at Wellington-area Baptist church

January 11, 2019

Firefighters were called to a well-involved fire at Titahi Bay Baptist Church in the Wellington suburb of Porirua just after midnight.

It took emergency responders several hours to extinguish the blaze.

Police were also at the scene overnight and an investigation is underway, a A Fire and Emergency NZ spokesperson told 1 NEWS.
