Fire breaks out in bedroom at New Plymouth property

A fire at a New Plymouth property overnight has seen one person needing treatment for smoke inhalation.

Fire services were called to a bedroom fire on Banks Street in Marfell New Plymouth at about 11:50pm last night.

Five fire trucks attended the blaze which was centred in a bedroom.

One person was treated for smoke inhalation but did not require hospitalisation.
