Seven years ago a statue of famed Antarctic explorer Captain Scott took a serious tumble, snapping at the ankles during the Christchurch earthquakes.
But after an epic repair effort, requiring thousands of hours of work, it today made its return to it's rightful home next to the Avon river.
The original Captain Scott statue was carved by his widow.
This time, the statue is spring loaded and should be able to withstand an earthquake of any size.
And despite it being one hundred and five years since Captain Scott's death, a crowd was still on hand to cheer the return of the iconic explorer.
