Police are advising motorists to avoid travelling south on SH1 on the Kapiti Coast due to a crash.
The one car crash happened just after 6.30am in Paekakariki.

There are extensive delays on the road with traffic back to Poplar Avenue, Raumati South, police say.
Motorists are urged to avoid or delay travel in the area if possible.
