Three people have died on New Zealand roads in this year's official Easter holiday period.
One person died following a crash near Anaura Bay, north of Tolaga Bay this morning.
The crash occurred around 5.30am on SH35, near Waiau Road, police say.
On Sunday 68-year-old female passenger was killed and the driver injured after the car they were in failed to take a 65km/h bend near Huntly.
On Monday one person died in a crash on State Highway 3 near New Plymouth.
The holiday period ended at 6am today.
