When we think of New Zealand cuisine, we think of hangi, fish and chips and pavlova.
However, Dunedin locals have been quietly munching on a food for decades which most of us have never heard of called the chop suey pattie.
But what is it? And where did it come from? Most importantly, does the chop suey pattie deserve more credit on our list of national dishes?
