Two people have been found guilty of attempting to kill a young woman who was found near death on the side of a road north of Auckland.
Nicola Jones and Julie-Ann Torrance were found guilty of attempted murder by a High Court jury in Auckland today.
Torrance was also found guilty of sexual violation.
The complainant, 19, was taken from Auckland's Karangahape Road and sexually violated in a nearby basement, before being driven north and dumped in Dome Valley.
Co-accused Wayne Blackett admitted to attempted murder at the start of the trial and the Crown says Jones and Torrance laughed and egged him on as he tried to snap the young woman's neck.
The jury deliberated for close to six hours today to reach their verdicts.
Sentencing in the case will take place on April 28.
