Deaf advocates help celebrate International Day of Sign Languages

September 23, 2019

NZ sign language is one of 300 recognised across the globe.

Disabilities Issues Minister Carmel Sepuloni says sign language opens up social, cultural, educational and employment opportunities for the deaf. However, there is still more to do to progress it further.
