Crowd-sourced forest to combat Trump's 'climate ignorance' reaches one million trees

The idea is in reaction to the US’ withdrawal to the Paris Climate Agreement.

A forest in Christchurch which has been growing in size since US President Donald Trump withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement has grown to a million trees.

The idea began less than a year ago in reaction to Trump's decision, with the founders intending to help offset his "climate ignorance".

The crowd-sourced forest is not located only in Christchurch, but in more than 60 countries.
