Couple charged with theft after tourists' luggage stolen in Christchurch

A man and a woman have been charged with theft after a trailer containing a large amount of luggage belonging to a group of tourists was allegedly stolen last week.

Police say a 31-year-old man and 24-year-old woman have been charged with theft over the incident.

The trailer was allegedly stolen on 10 November in Upper Riccarton.

A small amount of luggage has been recovered, however the majority of the property is still missing.

Anyone who has any information on the property is asked to contact Christchurch Police at 03 363 7400.
