A competition to find the countries best power line mechanics is underway in Canterbury.
The 17th annual Connection Conference is a three-day event, part expo and part competition.
It tests line mechanics from around the country over 13 events, to find New Zealand’s best teams.
The event's organisers are also hoping it'll draw in the next generation to fill the constant need for good workers.
