A Comanchero gang member is expected to appear in court today following an aggravated robbery and subsequent assault of a police officer in Mount Maunganui last year.
The alleged incident occurred in Mount Maunganui on July 20, 2018, Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Greene said.
Two other men were earlier charged over the incident.
The gang member, 25, was arrested after police carried out a search warrant in Waiuku, south Auckland, this morning.
A significant amount of methamphetamine was found in the property, police say.

He is expected to appear in the Manukau District Court today, charged with aggravated robbery and assaulting police.
Police say inquiries are ongoing and police cannot rule out further charges or arrests.
