A group burial for 26 victims of the mosque attacks in Christchurch was held this afternoon, shortly after the nation stopped to remember the lost one week on from the tragedy.
Forty-two people have now been farewelled, including a three-year-old boy, but it's not clear if that's the end of the burials as some victims may be repatriated to their homelands.
Today at 4pm, 26 victims were buried at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Linwood, Christchurch.
Some of the caskets were adorned with the New Zealand flag.
The last bodies were only released to families late yesterday.
Earlier at Hagley Park in Christchurch, thousands gathered to reflect and remember the fallen after a Muslim Call to Prayer went out at 1.30pm, followed by a two-minute silence.
