Chorus investigating suspected fibre cut in Auckland affecting around 4000 customers

Chorus says a suspected fibre cut is affecting around 4000 Auckland homes and businesses this afternoon.

The fibre cut is suspected to have happened between Howick and Waiheke Island around 3pm.

"A number of Chorus telecommunications services are impacted including both copper and fibre broadband on Waiheke Island," Chorus says in a statement.

Chorus doesn't have an estimated restore time at present, but will release an update as soon as possible.
