A child under five-years-old, and two adults, have been pulled out of Auckland's Waitemata Harbour by the Coastguard this afternoon.

Police were called shortly after 3.15pm today after reports a person had gone missing in the water in Devonport, on Auckland's North Shore, in the area of King Edward Parade.

All three individuals pulled from the water are receiving medical attention at the scene in Devonport, St John Ambulance said.

The two adults are in a moderate condition, but the condition of the child is unknown.

St John say they sent four ambulances to the scene.

Staff at the Torpedo Bay Café in Devonport say they saw three kids running on the boat ramp into the water and believe one of them fell in, as they were soon after called to "come and help" but weren't sure what for.

Staff from the Platter restaurant in Devonport also say they saw someone receiving CPR at the scene.
