Child seriously injured after being hit by car in Auckland

A seriously injured child has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Auckland's Sandringham.

Emergency services were called to the crash on Kitchener Road about 8.15am, police told 1 NEWS.

St John ambulance says the child has been taken to Starship Hospital in a serious condition.
