Child dies after being struck by car in Southland driveway

A child has died after being struck by a car in a driveway in Southland yesterday afternoon.

Police say the child was struck by a vehicle in Oakland Street, Mataura.

The incident was reported to emergency services at 4.50pm.

The Serious Crash Unit has been notified.
