Canterbury teen saves 80 cows from death row, starts Givealittle page to fund her 'sanctuary'

A Canterbury teenager has started a sanctuary to save cows headed for slaughter.

Jasmine Hubber, 19, saved her first calf when she was just 10 years old. Since then her sanctuary, called Til the cows come home, has grown to over 80 animals rescued from death row.

She’s started a Givealittle page to help fund the costs of her growing herd, which has already raised more than $6,000.

Ms Hubber says she will stop adopting at some stage but wants people to realise that cows are more than just the meat on their plate.

You can donate to Jasmine’s campaign here or by sponsoring a cow via their Facebook page.
