Can you help police identify puppy-napper on the loose after Bowie the Cavoodle stolen from outside Auckland burger bar?

April 24, 2018

The hunt is on for Bowie the Cavoodle after the cute pup was brazenly abducted from outside an Auckland burger bar last week.

Police have released CCTV footage and are looking to identify a person they believe can help locate the wayward pooch, who was stolen in New Lynn on Wednesday 18 April.

The footage shows the six month old Cavoodle named Bowie, tied up outside a burger bar on Great North Road at 6.25pm.

The puppy's owner was inside the store when the CCTV captured someone unhooking the leash and carrying the dog away.

Police describe Bowie as a brown Cavoodle who was wearing a red collar with a round gold tag. She is six months old and very friendly.

If you know where Bowie is or have any information that can help police return Bowie to her family please contact Sergeant Matt Murray, Waitakere Police on (09) 215 5676.

Alternatively, information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
