Two British nationals accused of being involved in an alleged roofing scam in the Auckland region have appeared in the Hutt Valley District Court this afternoon.
Tommy Ward, 26, and William Donohue, 25 have been charged with using a false document as if it were genuine.
James Nolan, 26, also faces the same charge but did not appear in court today.
Police claim the forged documents were a Roofcare business card and invoice.
A lawyer for Ward and Donohue requested in-court media filming applications be declined.
Judge Craig Thompson said there was no reason to decline the applications.
"I hear you... I can’t go that far," Mr Thompson said.
The lawyer has sought an appeal on the decision.
Both men were remanded in custody to appear again in the Lower Hutt District Court tomorrow.
It is not yet known when James Nolan will appear in court.
