Body recovered in search for swimmer who failed to resurface after entering water at Whangārei Falls

A body has been recovered in the search for a swimmer who failed to resurface after entering the water at Whangārei Falls yesterday afternoon.

The body was found by the Police Dive Squad.

The scene has been blessed and the Whangārei Falls has since reopened to the public.

Police and Victim Support are working with the family of the victim.
