Body of man who disappeared at waterhole in Auckland's Ramarama recovered

Police have found the body of the swimmer who went missing yesterday at Maketu waterfall near Ramarama in South Auckland.

It's understood the 50-year-old man was on his first visit to the waterhole, at Pratts Road.

He was seen disappearing into the water under the waterfall.

The death has been referred to the Coroner.

In a separate incident in Auckland yesterday afternoon a man is missing after he was swept into the water near the waterfall at Hunua Falls.

A Police National Dive Squad search resumed for the man this morning.
