Body found in Waikato River confirmed as missing Hamilton man

The body pulled from the Waikato River two days ago is missing Hamilton man Kayne Kohu, police confirmed this morning.

The 23-year-old went missing on August 23.

Police focused their search on a section of the Waikato River behind the Hamilton Gardens.

The matter has been referred to the Coroner.
