Auckland's Britomart train hub to remain closed tonight after train derailment

Auckland commuters face delays after a train de-railed at Auckland’s Britomart Station this morning.

Auckland's central train hub, Britomart Station, will remain closed tonight after a train derailed this morning.

Auckland Transport released a statement today announcing delays and changes to where trains depart and arrive this afternoon and tomorrow morning.

From 9pm tonight Eastern Line services will only operate between Manukau and Panmure. No train services will operate from Panmure to the Strand after this time.

There are no services to or from Parnell Station until further notice.

Onehunga Line services will run as a shuttle between Onehunga and Penrose, linking to Southern Line services.

There will be limited replacement buses running between Britomart and The Strand and Britomart and Newmarket.
