Auckland's Britomart Station partially open with derailed train still blocking part of tunnel

Limited bus replacement services will be running as train lines are badly impacted.

Britomart Station has been partially opened this morning with the train that derailed yesterday unable to be moved from the tunnel.

Southern and eastern lines are operating to Britomart every 20 minutes with platforms 3, 4 and 5 open.

Western line services terminate at Newmarket as platforms 1 and 2 at Britomart remain closed because of the derailed train.

Auckland commuters face delays after a train de-railed at Auckland’s Britomart Station this morning.

Parnell station is open while services to and from Onehunga will run as rail shuttle from Onehunga and Penrose, linking to Southern Line services.
