Auckland woman honoured for her six decades helping Kiwi kids thrive at school

Now in her 80s, Margaret Leeming spends her days working as a relief teacher.

With over 60 years in education across multiple roles, Margaret Leeming of Auckland has had a massive influence over many children’s lives.

Even though she’s now in her mid-80s, Margaret doesn’t think twice about catching public transport, rain or shine, to work as a relieving teacher to educate and inspire.

ASB is giving her an ASB Good as Gold Santa Edition Award and $4000 as a mark of its admiration for her fantastic work.
