Auckland, Waikato bus drivers to strike this morning over pay and working conditions

Around 350 services in Auckland will be affected when some drivers walk off the job for 24 hours, while Go Bus drivers in Hamilton will strikes for four hours this morning.

Hundreds of bus drivers across Auckland and Waikato will strike today over pay and working conditions.

Ritchies, Murphy Transport and Pavlovich Coachlines drivers will walk off the job for 24 hours, with the strike beginning in Auckland at 4am.

The Auckland strike will affect 350 bus services.

Many Hamilton buses will not run and some drivers are also striking in Auckland.

Go Bus drivers in Hamilton are staging a shorter protest – between 5am and 9am.

Metlink Wellington is also bracing for industrial action on Thursday.
