A 16-year-old Auckland teenager is taking a shot at his dreams from all the right angles after winning a major fashion competition.
Luke Foley-Martin took out this year's New Zealand Fashion Week photography competition .
His big dreams of becoming a professional photographer started when he was in year three or four.
His teacher gave him a small DSLR camera to play around with.
From there, things have skyrocketed in a flash.
Seven Sharp caught up with the aspiring pro at a photo shoot in the swanky Auckland suburb of Ponsonby.
He was in his very first mentoring session with a professional photographer.
Competition judge Lisa Harrington said she knew Luke had a talent when she came across his work.
She was a judge and mentor in this year's competition, which thousands of photos and hundreds of gigabytes were sent in from around the country.
He hopes to land his dream job of being a professional photographer when he finishes school.
