Auckland park evacuated after drum with leaking substance dumped there

An Auckland park has been evacuated after a drum leaking an unknown substance was dumped there this afternoon.

Police say they were called to Starling Park in Ranui around 4pm, prompting the evacuation.

Fire and Emergency NZ are also on the scene.
