Fire crews battle blaze in Wellington

Four fire crews are battling a blaze in a Wellington garage.

Emergency services were called to Taylor Terrace in Tawa, Wellington about 8pm.

A fire spokesperson told 1 NEWS the garage fire has gone to second alarm and is well alight.

“The garage contains vehicles and our crews are working to contain the fire,” he said.

There are no reports of injury.

'Leave it alone, it does it with magic' - Council share hilarious Daylight Savings info graphic

The Waikato District Council shared a hilarious infographic on how to change the times on everyday appliances when Daylight Savings ends at 3am tomorrow.

The infographic was tweeted this evening and featured a smartphone, a sundial, a cooker, and a car clock on it.

"Don't forget to turn your clocks back an hour tonight! #daylightsavings" the caption read.

The instructions that accompany perfectly summarises how most people can't really be bothered fiddling with technology too much. 

Clocks will go back an hour tomorrow morning, giving everyone an extra hour to sleep in. 

Daylight Savings begins again on September 24.
