Around 400 Auckland properties remain without power a week after a wild storm struck the region.
The storm caused widespread damage across Auckland.
The storm swept through last Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, bringing heavy rain and wind gusts of over 200km/h.
At its height, it cut power to 180,000 homes and businesses.
Auckland Emergency Management director John Dragicevich says it's encouraging that more properties had their supply reconnected on Tuesday.
He says Auckland council volunteers and Maori wardens have continued their welfare checks by knocking on 1900 doors during the day.
That took the number of properties visited to almost 7000.
