A New Zealand web series has picked up two prestigious awards at this year's Los Angeles WebFest.
The Wellington-made apocalyptic sensation called End of Term follows a group of unalike high school teenagers who are forced together to survive a viral outbreak.
The series, which features Shortland Street actors Jayden Daniels and Thomasin McKenzie, picked up two outstanding awards during the festival which was held at Warner Bros Studio in Los Angeles.
Both of the awards - Outstanding Sound Design and Outstanding Score, were credited to the work of Tane Upjohn-Beatson.
Director Chaz Harris was also nominated for Outstanding Directing, while Brogan Wilkinson was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama.
Mr Harris, who previously found success at the LA festival with dating comedy 101 Dates in 2011 with seven awards including Outstanding Comedy Series, says the weekend's results are due to teamwork.
"I was thrilled to bring another web series to LA WebFest," he said.
"I'm looking forward to celebrating with our cast when we attend the Armageddon Expo to talk about making the series in June."
The director also spoke highly of Mr Upjohn-Beatson, praising his "amazing work" which "brought our series to life through his phenomenal sound design and music".
Cast and crew from the End of Term will be at Wellington's Armageddon Expo on June 4 at 11am to discuss the making of the series.
TVNZ acquired the series in November to watch on TVNZonDemand.
