A rainy Auckland night hasn't dampened the spirits of thousands of Taylor Swift fans who showed up to watch her play at Mt Smart Stadium tonight.
A sea of ponchos greeted Swift as she took the stage just before 9pm, but the fans were able to shake it off as the star strutted her stuff.
"This is my seventh time playing in Auckland, but it’s my first time playing in this magnificent, gigantic, wonderful stadium. That you have so generously filled for us tonight.
"I'm excited to play in what some would say is questionable weather circumstances but I think a rain show is one of the most exquisite, rare and wonderful occurrences, don't you Auckland?" Swift said to cheers.
Auckland act Broods opened for Swift on what will be her only NZ show as part of her Reputation tour.
