Watch: The skux life for Thor? Taika Waititi sneaks Hunt for the Wilderpeople reference into latest film

Cheeky Kiwi director Taika Waititi has delighted fans of Ricky Baker from 2016's hit film The Hunt for the Wilderpeople by hiding an "easter egg" in the trailer for his upcoming Hollywood blockbuster Thor: Ragnarok.

Those with a very keen eye spotted the catch phrase graffitied on the wall in a split second scene from Thor: Ragnarok's trailer.

The phrase skux life, made famous by Julian Dennison's character Ricky, can be seen in a scene involving the Asgardian goddess of death Hela.

The easter egg (an inside joke) was spotted by eagle-eyed Vanity Fair writer Joanna Robinson, who shared the find with the world on Tuesday morning.

The nod to Wilderpeople will undoubtedly please Kiwi fans and further strengthens the suspicion that Thor: Ragnarok will take a lighter tone than previous installments, making use of Waititi's trademark off-the-wall humour.

The trailer for the new film was released overnight.

The trailer for the much anticipated next instalment from the Marvel franchise has already been watched millions of times just hours after its release.
