A Polynesian inspired performance from Disney's smash hit movie Moana has opened the Vodafone Music Awards at Auckland's Spark Arena tonight.
The song, We Know the Way, was performed by songwriter Opetaia Foa'i, who was backed up by more than 30 Pacific singers and dancers, including his daughter Olivia.
"I have performed in Hollywood, England as well, I did the London opening premiere, and I was not nervous... It's actually more nervous to bring it here than over there," Mr Foa'i said.
