Kiwi actress Rachel House says American audiences definitely got the Kiwi humour in Taika Waititi's new Thor: Ragnarok movie.
After a successful Hollywood premiere, the Kiwi-helmed movie is having its New Zealand premiere at Auckland's Sylvia Park tonight.
1 NEWS reporter Lisette Reymer caught up with Rachel House, who plays a bodyguard in the film, on the red carpet, where House was beaming about the reception the film has received overseas.
"I was there in Los Angeles for the premiere and people were falling about laughing they absolutely loved it," House said.
She also re-iterated the fact there's a lot of "easter eggs" hidden in the movie that only Kiwi fans will pick up on.
"It's Taika's tone the whole way through it which is really cool, it's all of us," she said.
Thor: Ragnarok is tracking to bring in over $US700 million at the box office, eclipsing every other Marvel movie.
The film opens in New Zealand cinemas this Thursday.
