Watch: Moving performances by Kiwi music royalty at Christchurch's You Are Us/Aroha Nui concert

With star names such as Lorde, Six60 and Marlon Williams turning out, Christchurch fans were treated to a spectacle last night at the You Are Us/Aroha Nui concert.

Dave Dobbyn and Bic Runga were also among those performing to a crowd of around 20,000 people, all of whom gathered together to raise money for the victims of the March 15 terrorist attack.

Concertgoers illuminated the stadium with their phones as Dave Dobbyn sung Welcome Home and Lorde sung alongside Marlon Williams, adding their own twist on Simon and Garfunkel's Sound of Silence.

New Zealander of the year Mike King who hosted both You Are Us/Arohanui events said the unifying concert was about "moving out of the darkness and into the light".
