Every family has its passions, but not many turn them into careers.

However, the Connolly family are another story altogether.

They've made it big on the international stage, in a dance form that wouldn't immediately spring to mind here in good old Aotearoa.

One of the siblings, Ciaran Connolly is back in New Zealand with Irish Celtic to perform at Auckland's Civic Theatre this week.

TVNZ1's Seven Sharp went along to check out the family with a passion for dancing a jig.
