The latest trailer for Deadpool 2, featuring Kiwi actor Julian Dennison, has been released.
Deadpool 2 is a superhero film, the latest installment in the X-men series.
In the trailer Dennison's chararcter is seen giving the fingers.
In June last year, Reynolds posted a photo to Instagram with the 15-year-old, who shot to fame after his role in Hunt For the Wilderpeople, which hinted the two actors are staring together in the action film.
The photo showed Dennison on the Deadpool's back, captioning it: "Giving Julian Dennison a warm... welcome as we stare off into our beautiful future together".
Dennison also posted the picture, writing: "Next film in the making #deadpool2".
Reynolds told the NZ Herald he was incredibly impressed by the teen's talent.
"He's the greatest," Reynolds said.
"I'm so proud of him and I just love him so much."
Reynold's said he found Dennison through his friendship with New Zealand film director and actor Taika Waititi, who was the director for Hunt For the Wilderpeople.
"So that's kind of how I found him. Obviously I saw Taika's film and I was like 'Who is this kid and what voodoo did you put on him to make him this good?'.
Deadpool 2 is said to be released on May 18.
