A clown-faced Donald Trump and a police shooting feature in US rapper Snoop Dogg's edgy new music video Lavender where the polarising musician takes a swipe at modern US society.
In the final scene of the video Snoop Dogg fires a fake pistol at the head of the clown-parody of President Trump.
Lavender features numerous scenes with people appearing as clowns with clown make-up on their faces.
In an earlier scene a clown-faced police officer pulls over a clown-faced motorist and shoots him at point blank range while an onlooker films on a smartphone.
Snoop Dogg told entertainment news site Billboard he explicitly wanted to touch on grievances he has with President Trump and the high number of fatal police shootings in the US.
"The ban that this motherf****r tried to put up; him winning the presidency; police being able to kill motherf*****s and get away with it," he said.
"The whole world is clownin' around .... [the] concept is so right on point with the art direction and the reality, because if you really look at some of these motherf*****s, they are clowns," Snoop Dogg told Billboard.
The album, Lavender, a collaboration with BADBADNOTGOOD featuring Kaytranada, was released yesterday.
