Take a sneak peek at Cirque du Soleil's upcoming NZ show, announced today

October 4, 2018

Cirque du Soleil will return to New Zealand for its first "big top"-themed show on our shores in five years, the popular Québec-based acrobatic troupe announced today.

KOOZA, which the company describes as a "breath-taking, colourful homage to the traditions of the circus", will be performed in Auckland starting 8 February.

About 50 acrobats, musicians, singers and actors will take the stage to the sound of Bollywood, jazz and funk.

"KOOZA combines thrilling acrobatic performance with the art of clowning," Cirque du Soleil said in a statement announcing the New Zealand visit. "We follow The Innocent as he takes a journey of self-discovery through a comic kingdom of eccentric characters, electrifying thrills and out-of-the-box surprises."

Tickets go on sale Monday.
