Sir Elton John adds Waitangi Day Hawke's Bay concert to his farewell tour after 'phenomenal demand'

Sir Elton John has added a Waitangi Day Hawke's Bay concert to his farewell tour after "phenomenal demand" for tickets.

The February 6, 2020, concert at Mission Estate Winery will be his first at the venue, followed by another previously scheduled show two days later on the 8th of Feb.

A statement from the tour's promoters today says the new show was added due to "the phenomenal demand from our Mission Concert Club members, and the thousands of people on the Mission Concert Wait List".

Sir Elton is also playing Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium on February 4 and Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium on February 9.

Tickets for the new concert go on sale to Mission Concert Club Members from noon tomorrow.
