Shapeshifter and Boh Runga earrings: What the PM gifted the Royals, and what they got her

October 29, 2018

New Zealand music and jewellery were the gift of choice by the Prime Minister.

PM Jacinda Ardern told media today the gifts she gave to Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex, and what she was given in return.

Ms Ardern met the pair yesterday, after they received a warm welcome in Wellington.

"For the Duchess of Sussex, I shared with her a personal gift of a set of earrings. Boh Runga earrings featuring the crossed feathers," the Prime Minister said.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern was on hand to meet the royals as they stepped off the plane.

"I also gave a gift to his Royal Highness, a Shapeshifter CD... I gave him a copy of The System is a Vampire because it includes the track Duchies, which is the song the All Blacks enter onto the field with, including at Twickenham."

She also gave Prince Harry a vinyl copy of Shapeshifter's 2016 album Star, "and is a fine album".

Ms Ardern said she was gifted a recipe book, that was spurred from a community project the Duchess of Sussex worked on in the wake of the Grenfell Tower disaster.

The charity cookbook is named Together: Our Community Cookbook.
