Sex and the City co-stars at war: 'Let me make this VERY clear. You are not my family. You are not my friend'

Kim Cattrall has a message for Sarah Jessica Parker: Spare me your sympathy.

Cattrall lashed out, today, at her former "Sex and the City" co-star after Parker expressed her condolences over the death of Cattrall's brother, Chris.

"Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now," Cattrall wrote on Instagram.

"Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven't already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I'm writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your 'nice girl' persona.

"The two actresses reportedly have not gotten along for years.Cattrall's brother was found dead last week. He was 55."

Incredible Kiwi whizz-kids snag early Oscar for new camera system that's changed Hollywood cinematography

A group of New Zealand tech wizards have scored a jump on Margot Robbie, Daniel Day-Lewis and Meryl Streep a month before the Oscars.

Brad Hundell, John Coyle, Vikas Sathaye and Shane Buckham will be honoured with 30 other leaders in movie production technology at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Scientific and Technical Awards in Beverly Hills today.

The four created the Shotover K1 Camera System which has given Hollywood's top directors and cinematographers stunning new aerial shots for major films including Dunkirk, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Kong: Skull Island and the upcoming Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

"It's the latest and greatest camera system for aerial photography for the movies," Shotover founder and main gimbal designer John Coyle told AAP.

The Queenstown-based Shotover's gyro-stabilised camera platforms can be attached to helicopters and configured for Hollywood's most advanced cameras.

The Scientific and Technical Awards are held at the Beverly-Wilshire Hotel with other winners including tech wizards from film industry giants Pixar and Industrial Light

The ceremony comes ahead of the March 4 Academy Awards in Hollywood where Robbie, Day-Lewis, Streep and Hollywood's A-List compete for acting Oscars.

'Haere Ra, New York!'- Kiwi model returns home to host TVNZ 2's Project Runway

Kiwi model Georgia Fowler has been confirmed as the host of TVNZ 2's Project Runway New Zealand.

Ms Fowler shot to international stardom in 2012, when she appeared on the Chanel catwalk.

She has since modelled for the likes of Victorias Secret, MiuMiu, DKNY and Kanye West's Yeezy.

Ms Fowler, who will be following in the footsteps of model and host of the US show Heidi Klum, says she couldn't be more thrilled with the opportunity.

"To help launch the career of a Kiwi designer, while giving people a glimpse into the world of fashion, is beyond exciting," she says.

Each week Ms Fowler will watch a group of ambitious designers battle it out in challenges designed to test creativity and resourcefulness.

At the end of each week one will be sent home.

The last remaining designers will be tasked with designing and creating an entire collection, which ultimately decides who is crowned the winner.
